Hi there, I am

not just a freelance Web Designer, but a Creative Partner for individuals and organisations looking to scale their personal brand and business, starting with their websites.

KAI CHONG

KAI CHONG

After graduating, I've been on my fair share of "first dates."

Fresh out of university, I found myself struggling to navigate the professional graphic design and photography scene in Berlin—a city where everyone seems to be either a graphic designer or a DJ. Much like the actual dating scene, making a professional first impression here felt like going on endless “first dates.”

University had taught me how to create eye-catching visuals, but when it came to talking about my work or translating my ideas into an impactful online presence, I felt completely unprepared. I’d spend hours—sometimes days—tinkering in Squarespace, dragging and dropping elements, only to end up with a website that was, well… decent but uninspired.

Then came a turning point. As I dived deeper into web design, I realized that creating a successful website was about more than just aesthetics—it was about communication. That’s when I stumbled into the world of copywriting. For a visual designer like me, words felt like a foreign language, but I quickly learned something surprising: even a less-than-stunning website with stellar copy can outperform a beautiful site that’s all flash and no substance.

The lesson hit me hard. Building a website is a lot like dating: sure, being dazzling and stylish can catch someone’s eye, but it’s your ability to connect and communicate that makes you memorable. The glitzy exterior might get you one night, but it’s the depth and engagement that earn you a second date.

With this realization, I began to reframe my approach to web design. It wasn’t just about creating something visually impressive—it was about crafting a site that speaks to its audience, builds trust, and leaves them wanting more.

Now, I bring this perspective to every project I take on, combining great design with compelling storytelling to help my clients make meaningful connections. After all, the goal isn’t just to dazzle on the first date—it’s to build a lasting relationship that keeps them coming back for more.

  1. Site Publishing & Post-Launch

All the hard work has come to this moment, it is the time to show the world what we have created. It is important to take note that maintaining and optimising the site post launch will be extremely important. This should not be hard as I would have build a CMS system for you to make future adjustments on your own.
